Selven Build oversaw the entire construction and management of this new build in Feock, which spanned eleven months, to the final completion. Situated at the head of Carrick Roads on the River Fal, this ‘house for life’ adheres to the impressive Passivhaus standard, ensuring outstanding energy efficiency due to the quality of its envelope and various technical features.
Key technical features include:
• Timber and aluminium composite, triple-glazed windows.
• An air-source heat pump.
• Underfloor heating throughout the property.
• A Tesla Powerwall, a rechargeable home battery that works with solar panels to store excess energy for later use.
• An Eddi, an eco-smart energy management system for home heating.
Constructed using predominantly natural materials such as mature cedar cladding, the house reduces its carbon footprint and continues to mature gracefully over time. The blend of high-tech features and natural materials ensures the house is both energy-efficient and exceptionally durable.
The interiors are designed for comfortable family living, featuring a modern kitchen with a large central island, double-height oak A-frames in the living room, a bespoke curved staircase, and a double-height garage with a four-post car lift for car renovations. This ‘forever’ home embodies quality, endurance, and all the comforts of modern family living.
